On 1st May 2015 we submitted a joint outline planning application with Darlington Borough Council for the next phase of West Park; Westpark Garden Village.
The land includes the remaining section of Mount Pleasant Farm between Edward Peaseway and the A1M Motorway and between the A68 and the Branksome Estate. The land is identified under the Local Development Framework for future housing with associated facilities such as schools, sports and recreation. The evolving Masterplan will eventually include a link road from West Park to Newton Lane as well as further pedestrian and cycle paths alone green corridors. Around 1200 new homes are being proposed as well as some business use near to the A1M /A68 junction.
Subject to planning approval the development is expected to start in 2016 and take up to 15 years to complete.
